Chris Pelletteri - Founder
Chris Pellettieri is our founder and master carver. He discovered stone carving in 1989 and immediately fell in love with it.
Chris started his career at The Cathedral of St. John The Divine. The apprenticeship program he studied under introduced him to a new type of learning—working with his hands. For the last 30 years, he has run a successful stone carving business doing commissions for public and private clients.
Norman Stiles - Secretary
In 2012 Norman began helping his friend, Chris Pellettieri, put his vision of passing on and preserving the ancient art of carving stone by hand into words.
As they worked together creating a PowerPoint presentation, Norman was moved by Chris’s dream and he became a true believer, and when Chris asked him to join the board, he eagerly accepted the chance to help the Academy achieve its mission.
Morgan dummit - Treasurer
When Chris asked Morgan to join the Board of Directors of the Pelletieri Stone Carver’s Academy in 2019, Morgan was honored to do so.
Recognizing the transformational impact of the Carving Academy in his own life and work, Morgan is committed to the Academy’s mission of keeping the ancient art of working stone alive, and contributing to its continued relevance in the lives of artists who have not yet had the opportunity to pick up a chisel and see where it will lead them.
